Russia's aggression in Ukraine is the biggest immediate security threat in Europe. Therefore, European unity on this issue remains very important, according to Ukrinform.

Schallenberg stated that the war could end at the earliest if Russian dictator Vladimir Putin decides to withdraw his troops from Ukraine.

He added, "If he does, the war will end. If Ukraine ceases its fighting, it will suffer the consequences. And then Slovakia may gain a new neighbor."

Additionally, Schallenberg pointed out that Russia poses the most significant threat to security in Europe.

"The European Union's unity and cohesion on this issue, which we regard as our greatest achievement and asset, must be preserved. We are taking necessary steps to guarantee its continuity in the future," he stated.

Assistance from Austria

The Austrian federal government, along with other EU countries, is providing aid to Ukraine amidst the Russian Federation's full-scale military aggression.

Vienna recently approved an additional 18 million euros in aid to support those affected by Russian aggression in Ukraine.

Additionally, Austria has allocated 1 million euros for the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Ukraine.
