Russia planned to exchange opposition figure Alexei Navalny, who recently died in a correctional colony, for agent Vadim Krasikov, Bild reports.
According to the article, speculation emerged immediately after Navalny's death that the opposition figure could be exchanged soon.

Death of Navalny
The Federal Penitentiary Service announced on February 16, the death of politician Alexei Navalny in Colony No. 3 in the town of Pokrov, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
According to the FSIN statement, Navalny felt unwell during a walk. Subsequently, he practically lost consciousness, and doctors who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead.
In Russia, it is claimed that Navalny allegedly had a detached thrombus. Currently, the official cause of the politician's death is unknown.
