Russian forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones from seven directions overnight on October 24. Ukrainian air defenses managed to shoot down most of the incoming drones, but some strikes hit their targets, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.

Overnight, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 126 strike drones, including Shahed-type drones (61 of them jet-powered), S8000 Banderol/Dan-D drones, Gerbera drones, and Parodya-type decoy drones. The drones were launched from the following directions: Shatalovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.

According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m. local time, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 101 enemy drones, including 50 jet-powered drones.

Enemy aerial weapons were recorded hitting targets at 14 locations, while debris from downed drones fell at five locations.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Russia had recently attacked Ukraine using a new modification of the Geran-5, designated the Geran-5 K5-K. The missile is equipped with an optical navigation system and has greater range, speed, and flight altitude.
