The highest number of battles over the past day took place in the Pokrovsk direction. The military provided a summary of the frontline situation throughout the day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of the day, a total of 168 combat engagements have been recorded. Russian forces are conducting large-scale assaults in several directions, particularly in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Lyman sectors.

They are employing aviation, kamikaze drones, and artillery, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the line, inflicting significant losses on Russian troops.

In total, Russian forces launched 62 airstrikes, dropping 92 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they used 863 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,536 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

The fiercest fighting is taking place near Pokrovsk, where 38 assaults were recorded within just a few hours.

Hottest frontline sectors as of June 12

Pokrovsk direction

Since the start of the day, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 38 assaults in this area, with six more engagements ongoing.
Clashes are taking place simultaneously near Myroliubivka, Andriivka, Lysivka, Malynivka, Myrne, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Udachne, Novosergiivka, Orikhove, and toward Oleksiivka, Poltavka, and Muravka.
Confirmed Russian losses include 169 personnel (107 of them irrecoverable), as well as destroyed equipment and artillery.

Novopavlivka direction

Russian forces attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 28 times near the settlements of Vesele, Bahatyr, Skudne, Dniproenerhiia, Fedorivka, Novosilka, Vilne Pole, Novyi Komar, and Shevchenko.
Fighting also continues near Myrne, Zaporizhzhia, and Komar, with seven engagements still underway.

Lyman direction

Russian troops carried out 17 assaults on Ukrainian positions near Nadiia, Novyi Myr, Yampolivka, Torske, and toward the village of Shandryholove. Six combat engagements remain active.

Toretsk direction

Russian forces launched 20 assaults in this sector. Fighting was intense near Diliivka, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Romanivka, Rusyn Yar, Oleksandro-Kalynove, and Yablunivka. Three battles are ongoing.

Situation in other sectors

Other directions also experienced attacks, though with lower intensity. Specifically:

  • Kramatorsk direction – 6 assaults

  • Siversk direction – 3 attacks

  • Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Prydniprovskyi, and Kursk directions – airstrikes and isolated assaults

The General Staff emphasized that Ukrainian forces are effectively neutralizing Russian troops and equipment, inflicting considerable losses.
