Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of May 13

Along the entire front line during the past day, 166 combat engagements were recorded, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, the enemy carried out 78 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements and dropped 141 guided bombs. In addition, it conducted over 5,400 shellings, of which 103 were from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 3,058 kamikaze drones for strikes.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular on the areas of the settlements:
- Boyaro-Lezhachi, Chumakove, Zinove, Bilohalytsia of Sumy region;
- Dvorichna of Kharkiv region;
- Stara Mykolaivka, Mayak, Shevchenko Pershe, Udachne, Novomykolaivka, Poltavka, Pokrovsk, Illinivka, Sukhyi Yar, Oleksiivka, Odradne, Voskresenka – of Donetsk region;
- Novodarivka, Huliaipole, Vysoke, Pavlivka, Novoiakovlivka of Zaporizhzhia region;
- Kozatske of Kherson region.
Situation on the fronts
In the Kharkiv direction, our troops repelled seven Russian troops' attacks in Vovchansk and Krasne Pershe.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were five attacks by Russian occupiers over the past day. The Defense Forces repelled the enemy’s assault actions near Pishchane, Hlushkivka, and Novoosynove.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 20 times. It tried to advance toward the settlements of Zelenyi Hai, Hrekivka, Ridkodub, Torske, Kolodiazi, Zelena Dolyna, Nadiia, Lypove, Novomykhailivka, Yampolivka, and toward Olhivka.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled six enemy attacks in the past day. Occupation units tried to advance toward Hryhorivka and Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, four combat engagements were recorded near Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, and toward Bila Hora and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russian troops carried out nine attacks in Diliivka, Petrivka, and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 60 assault and offensive actions of the aggressor in the areas of the settlements Nova Poltavka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Udachne, Novoseriivka, Novooleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Troitske, Andriivka, Stara Mykolaivka, Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Popiv Yar, Novomykolaivka, Muravka, Oleksiivka.
In the Novopavka direction, the Defense Forces repelled 24 enemy attacks near Kostiantynopil, Bahatyr, Zelenyi Hai, Novosilky, and toward Shevchenko.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Orikhiv direction, today, the enemy conducted six attacks in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Maly Shcherbaky, and Pavlivka. No success.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the aggressor made four futile attempts to advance toward the positions of our defenders.
In the Kursk direction, nine combat engagements of varying intensity took place over the past day. In addition, the enemy carried out 18 airstrikes using 20 guided air bombs and also conducted 254 artillery shellings of our troops’ positions and settlements, including eight from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
Enemy losses
Our warriors inflict significant losses on the occupation troops in manpower and equipment and are actively undermining the enemy's offensive potential in the rear.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck 12 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment, three artillery systems, two communication nodes, and three other important objects of the Russian invaders.
In total, the losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1,070 personnel. Ukrainian warriors also neutralized two tanks, 14 armored combat vehicles, 62 artillery systems, 100 operational-tactical UAVs, 138 vehicles, and one heavy flamethrower system of the occupiers.
