Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 31

During the past day, January 30, 150 combat clashes took place on the front lines. Nearly half of the battles were recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces delivered one strike on an enemy personnel concentration area, three strikes on command posts, two strikes on air defense systems, and seven strikes on other important enemy targets," the General Staff stated.
Situation on front
Kharkiv direction: One combat clash took place near Lyptsi.
Kupiansk direction: Ukrainian defenders stopped three enemy attacks near Petropavlivka, Zahryzove, and Nova Kruhliakivka.
Lyman direction: The number of battles reached 11.
Kupiansk direction: Ukrainian forces repelled three attacks near Kopanky, Novolubivka, Balka Zhuravka, Yampilivka, Zelena Dolyna, Terny, and Kolodiazi.
Siversk direction: Russian forces attacked the Defense Forces' positions nine times near Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske.
Kramatorsk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled ten Russian attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Stupochky, Chasiv Yar, and Predtechyne.
Toretsk direction: The enemy attacked 13 times near Toretsk, Diliivka, Shcherbynivka, and Krymske.
Pokrovsk direction: Ukrainian forces repelled 71 Russian attacks. The enemy attempted to advance near Malynivka, Yelyzavetivka, Vodiane Druhe, Novotoretske, and other areas.
Novopavlivsk direction: Russian forces made two attempts to breach Ukrainian defensive lines.
Huliaipole direction: Four combat clashes took place.
Prydniprovskyi direction: Ukraine`s Defense Forces repelled seven enemy attacks.
Kursk region: 11 combat engagements occurred.
Russian losses in war
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost over 837,000 military personnel. Just over the past day, Ukraine`s Defense Forces eliminated 1,670 Russian soldiers. In addition, the following enemy equipment was destroyed:
- 3 tanks;
- 17 armored combat vehicles;
- 33 artillery systems.
