Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 30
Over the past day, on January 29, there were 158 combat clashes along the front line. The enemy exerted the most pressure in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
"Over the past day, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck ten areas of enemy personnel and equipment concentration, one air defense system, as well as two other important objects of the Russian invaders," the General Staff of the AFU stated.
Situation at the front
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled ten enemy assaults near Petropavlivka, Novosynove, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked 26 times near Novoyehorivka, Kopanky, Makiivka, Novolubivka, Torske, Yampolivka, and Zelena Dolyna.
In the Siversk direction, the enemy launched six attacks in Verkhnokamianske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, there were ten clashes in Novomarkove, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces carried out 15 attacks near the settlements of Krymske and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, 72 enemy attacks were repelled in Vodyane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, and beyond.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, six enemy assaults were stopped near Kostiantynopil, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, and Novocheretuvate.
In the Kursk region, the Defense Forces repelled eight Russian attacks.
Russia’s losses in the war
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has lost over 835,000 personnel. In the past day alone, the Defense Forces eliminated 1,270 occupiers and also destroyed:
- 17 armored fighting vehicles
- 17 artillery systems, and more.
