Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 14

During the past day, January 13, 166 combat clashes took place on the front. Half of them occurred in the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"During the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck one area of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration, as well as another key enemy target," states the General Staff.
Situation on frontline
- Kharkiv direction: The Russians attacked twice near the settlement of Vovchansk.
- Kupiansk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks near Lozova, Zapadne, and Dvorichna.
- Lyman direction: The enemy launched 16 attacks near Novoserhiivka, Zelenyi Hai, Shyikivka, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Zarichne, and Terny.
- Siversk direction: Ukrainian forces repelled five enemy assaults.
- Kramatorsk direction: The Russian army attacked 14 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
- Toretsk direction: The Russians carried out 16 attacks near Toretsk, Krymske, Shcherbynivka, and Bila Hora.
- Pokrovsk direction: The Defense Forces stopped 77 enemy offensive actions.
- Novopavlivka direction: 13 Russian attacks were repelled near Rozlyv, Vremivka, Rozdolne, Kostiantynopil, and Neskuchne.
- Prydniprovsk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack.
- Kursk direction: 15 combat clashes took place.
Russian losses in war
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost more than 811,000 soldiers. In the past day alone, enemy losses amounted to 1,330 military personnel eliminated, as well as:
