Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of January 13

On January 12, there were 140 combat clashes on the frontline. Russian troops concentrated their main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"During the past day, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck one command post, five air defense systems, two ammunition depots, six artillery units, and three other key targets of the Russian occupiers," the General Staff reported.
Situation on frontline
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched four attacks near the settlements of Vovchansk and Kozacha Lopan.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks near Petropavlivka and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 Russian attacks near the settlements of Kopanky, Shyikivka, Pershotravneve, Makiivka, Tverdokhlibove, Terny, and Zarichne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, 15 combat clashes were recorded near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched 13 attacks near Toretsk, Bila Hora, and Shcherbynivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attacked 58 times near the settlements of Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Zelene, Promin, Novyi Trud, Pokrovsk, and others.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, Russian forces attacked Ukraine's Defense Forces' positions nine times near Kostyantynopil, Neskuchne, Vremivka, and Rivnopil, with enemy aviation actively operating in this area.
In the Prydniprovsk direction, the enemy attempted an unsuccessful assault.
In the Kursk region, Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled 17 enemy attacks.
Russia's losses in war
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost more than 809,000 military personnel. In the past day alone, enemy losses amounted to 1,510 soldiers. In addition, Ukraine's Defense Forces destroyed:
- 8 tanks;
- 26 armored fighting vehicles;
- 37 artillery systems, and more.
