Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 2

Over the past day, December 1, there were 165 combat clashes at the front, with Russian forces concentrating their main efforts on the Kurakhiv direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"Over the past day, the missile and artillery troops of the Defense Forces struck three areas of concentration of personnel and equipment of Russian invaders," the General Staff states.
Situation on frontline
- Kharkiv direction: Russians conducted ten assaults near the settlements of Starytsia, Tykhe, Vovchansk, and toward Kozacha Lopan.
- Kupiansk direction: Nine clashes occurred near Lozova, Kruhliakivka, Hlushkivka, and Zelenyi Hai.
- Lyman direction: Russians attacked eight times near Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Hryhorivka, Terny, and Torske.
- Kramatorsk direction: Three clashes were recorded near Chasiv Yar.
- Toretsk direction: Russians launched eight attacks near Toretsk and toward Shcherbynivka.
- Pokrovsk direction: Ukrainian defenders stopped 33 assault and offensive actions by Russian aggressors near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovte, and Chumatske.
- Kurakhiv direction: 48 attacks were repelled near Berestky, Sontsivka, Zorya, Novodmytrivka, Kurakhove, Dalnie, Yelyzavetivka, and Hannivka.
- Vremivka direction: The enemy carried out 24 offensive actions near Kostyantynopolske, Trudove, Velyka Novosilka, Novosilka, Novyi Komar, and Novodarivka.
- Prydniprovskyi direction: Russian invaders attempted four assaults on positions.
- Operational zone in the Kursk region: Defense Forces repelled 16 enemy attacks.
Russian losses
Since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost approximately 744,000 military personnel. Over the past day alone, the Defense Forces eliminated 1,790 occupiers and destroyed:
- 9 tanks;
- 28 armored fighting vehicles.
