Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 3

As of 16:00 on November 3, the enemy has attacked Ukrainian positions 110 times since the beginning of the day. Russians are most active in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions, where they conducted more than half of all attacks, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from Russian artillery shelling. In particular, the settlements of Khrinivka, Grabovske, Volfyne, Volodymyrivka, Zhuravka, Mkhy, Obody, Luhivka, Zaliznyi Mist, Pavlivka, Khotiivka, and Chuyivka were affected. Bratenytsia, Zhuravka, Novenke, and Basivka came under enemy air strikes.
In addition, the enemy launched 17 attacks on its own territory. As of now, 25 guided bombs have already landed in the Kursk region.
Situation at the frontlines
Since the beginning of the day in the Kharkiv direction, Russian militants have twice tried to conduct offensive actions near Vovchansk but were rebuffed.
The enemy attacked our positions in the Kupiansk direction eleven times. Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy assaults near Holubivka, Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kolisnykivka, Berestove, Zahryzove, Kruhliakivka, Vyshneve, and Pershotravneve.
In the Lyman direction, enemy units continue to attack in the vicinity of Hrekivka, Terny, and Dibrova. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian troops have repelled seven out of nine enemy attacks in this area. The fighting continues. The enemy launched air strikes in the area of Serebryansky forest.
Four hostile attacks have taken place in the Toretsk direction so far. The enemy attacked near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Our defenders are giving a worthy fight back, two attacks were stopped. The enemy aircraft bombed the areas of Druzhba, Toretsk, and Petrivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the enemy has already launched 19 attacks on the positions of our defenders in the areas of Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Novohrodivka and Vyshneve. The defense forces repelled the enemy's attacks, holding back the enemy's onslaught. The Russians concentrated their main efforts near Promin and Vyshneve.
The situation in the Kurakhove direction is the hottest today, with 54 combat engagements registered so far, with the invaders most actively trying to advance in the areas of Vovchenka, Hostre, and Antonivka. Eight battles are still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the invaders attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops near Trudove and Maksymivka nine times, two combat engagements are still ongoing.
The enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Yurkivka, Novodanylivka, and Mala Tokmachka in the Orikhiv direction, dropping eight guided aerial bombs.
No significant changes were observed in other areas.
Over the last day, from November 2 to November 3, the Russians lost 1410 soldiers at the front. In total, Russia's losses since 2022 amount to almost 700,000, or more precisely, 699,090 soldiers.
