Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of October 10

On October 9, 149 combat engagements took place along the frontline, with the heaviest pressure from the enemy occurring in the Kurakhove direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"Over the past day, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces launched 14 strikes on areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated. Additionally, a command post, six air defense systems, and one artillery system were destroyed," the General Staff wrote.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attempted offensive actions four times in the areas of Tykhe and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched 17 attacks near Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Vyshneve, Novosynove, Zelenyi Hai, and Kruhliakivka.
In the Lyman direction, 18 Russian attacks were repelled, with the invaders focusing their efforts in the areas of Hrekivka, Andriivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Katerynivka, and Torske.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy made six attempts to advance near Minkivka, Chasiv Yar, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Bila Hora, and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces tried nine times to move forward in the areas of Toretsk, Nelipivka, Shcherbynivka, and Dyliivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, 25 attacks took place, with the Russians focusing on the Selydove area.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy made 31 attempts to breach Ukrainian defensive lines near Hirnyk, Novoselydivka, Kurakhivka, Tsukuryne, Hostre, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka.
In the Vremivka direction, five attacks were repelled near Bohoyavlenka.
In the Prydniprovske direction, Russian forces made four unsuccessful attempts to seize the positions of Ukrainian defenders.
Russian losses in war
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost more than 665,000 personnel. In just the past day, the Defense Forces eliminated 1,080 Russian terrorists and destroyed the following:
- 1 tank;
- 14 armored combat vehicles;
- 41 artillery systems, among other equipment.
