About 136 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. Most of the fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk sector, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy carried out 73 air strikes over the day, dropping 97 guided aerial bombs.

Ukrainian aviation, missile troops and artillery struck 25 times at enemy concentration areas, and also destroyed four command posts, two air defense facilities, four artillery units and a fuel and lubricant depot.

Situation in the frontlines

Kharkiv direction. Nine engagements were recorded, and the Defense Forces repelled enemy assaults near Lyptsi, Tykhe, and Vovchansk.

Kupiansk direction. Six combat engagements took place, in particular, near Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, and Novoosynove.

Lyman direction. The enemy attacked 19 times near Makiivka, Nevske, Terny, Torske, and Serebryanskyi forest.

Siversk direction. There were 21 combat engagements. Ukrainian defenders repelled the Russian invaders' assault near Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Ivano-Daryivka, Vyimka, Pereyizne, and Spirne.

Kramatorsk direction. There were 10 recorded engagements, in particular in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske.

Toretsk direction. Russians attacked 18 times near Pivnichne, Toretsk, and Niu York.

Pokrovsk direction. Ukrainian defenders repelled 42 enemy assaults in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Zhelanne, Kalynove, Oleksandrivka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Kalynivka, Skuchne, Yasnobrodivka, Karlivka, Panteleimonivka, Novozhelanne and Mezhove. The highest concentration of attacks was near Ivanivka and Zhelanne.

Kurakhove direction. Defense forces stopped eight attacks near Krasnohorivka and Kostiantynivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops.

Enemy troop losses

Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 1,230 Russian soldiers.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has already lost more than 586,000 soldiers and thousands of pieces of military equipment. In particular, on August 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian helicopter in the Sumy region.
