Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 27

In Ukraine, 96 combat engagements were conducted in the frontline over the last day. The enemy continues to put pressure on the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, according to Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff.
Russian attacks
In total, the enemy launched 6 missile and 92 air strikes, and fired 110 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
At night, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine once again using a Shahed-136/131 UAV. Information about this attack is being clarified.
Over the past day, the following localities were hit by Russian air strikes: Yamne, Nova Sich in the Sumy region; Velykyi Burluk, Fedorivka, Synkivka in the Kharkiv region; Terny, Pereizne, Chasiv Yar, Predtechyne, Toretsk, New York, Ocheretyno, Novoselivka Persha, Semenivka, Umanske, Netailove Pervomaiske, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske; Levadne, Orikhiv, Novoselivka, Liubymivka in Zaporizhzhia region.
Over 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Situation at frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, Russians maintain a military presence in the border areas, conduct active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas and increase the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russians carried out 2 enemy attacks near Ivanivka and Tabaivka, and another 20 attacks near Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 6 Russian attacks near Terny, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 9 Russian attacks near Ivanivske and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 enemy attacks near Berdychi, Orlivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back Russians near Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 25 times. In addition, Ukrainian defenders repelled 8 enemy attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Pobeda in the Donetsk region.
The enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Novopavlivka direction.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian troops repelled 6 enemy attacks near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy made two unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 9 areas of concentration of Russian personnel.
Ukrainian Missile Troops struck 2 areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment, 1 control point, and 1 ground control station of the enemy's UAVs.
