Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 7

In Ukraine, 92 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. The enemy shelled over 140 localities across the country with artillery, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, the enemy launched 4 missile and 27 air strikes, fired 88 missile attacks from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
At night, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine once again, using 15 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 12 attack UAVs.
Air strikes were carried out in: Yablunivka, Sumy region; Veterynarne, Okhrymivka, Mala Vovcha, Pishchane, Kyslivka, Kharkiv region; Oleksandropil, Vuhledar, Staromayorske, Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
More than 140 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Situation at the frontlines
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remains without significant changes.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive assault operations.
In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces repelled 21 occupants' attacks near Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, as well as Terny and Hryhorivka, Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 12 enemy attacks near Bohdanivka and Klishchiivka in Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, over the past day, the Defense Forces repelled 21 occupants' attacks near Novobakhmutivka and Avdiivka and another 8 attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske in Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where 20 attacks were repelled.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the defenders repelled an enemy attack south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled 4 enemy attacks near Robotyne and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to expand the bridgehead. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy carried out 2 unsuccessful assault operations.
Enemy losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 13 areas of concentration of personnel and 2 enemy anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed one Kh-59 guided missile.
Missile troops struck 2 control points, 2 areas of personnel concentration, 2 ammunition depots, and 3 enemy artillery pieces.
