Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, repelling attacks by Russians near Terniv (Donetsk region). Occupiers are attempting to improve their tactical position in the Maryinka direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

The Russian Federation continues its aggressive war of occupation. Despite significant losses, it persists in its plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine. The adversary continues to ignore the laws and customs of war, employing terror tactics, striking both military and civilian targets. The enemy actively uses aviation and FPV-type quadcopters, conducting assault operations with armored support.

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains challenging, with 94 combat clashes reported in the last 24 hours.

The enemy carried out 8 missile attacks (using guided S-300 missiles on civilian infrastructure in Myrnohrad, Novohradivka in the Donetsk region, and Antonivka in the Kherson region) and conducted 38 shelling attacks from reactive multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.

Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Multi-story and private houses, schools, kindergartens, a shopping center, and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.

Frontline situation

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged with no significant changes. There are no signs of the formation of advancing enemy groups. Identified units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are carrying out tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage-reconnaissance activities, and shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation. The density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine is increasing.

Over 35 populated areas, including Yeline, Halahanivka, Leonivka in the Chernihiv region; Popivka, Volfyne, Veselivka in the Sumy region; Veternarne, Nesterne, Komisarove in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repelled 12 attacks near Tabaiivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our troops.

More than 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region, were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 7 attacks in the areas of Terniv and Torsk in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops.

Over 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bilohorivka, Serebrianske Forestry in the Luhansk region, and Torsk, Serebrianka, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, the defense forces repelled 10 attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where the occupiers unsuccessfully tried to improve their tactical position.

Around 10 populated areas, including Vasiukivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 19 attacks in the areas of Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and 9 more attacks near Opytne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops.

Approximately 10 populated areas, including Oleksandrivka, Novobakhmutivka, Ocheretine, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Netailove in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the invaders near Heorhiivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy made 14 unsuccessful attempts to improve their tactical position here.

Under artillery and mortar fire were Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Katerynivka, and Yelyzavetivka.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack near Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region. More than 10 populated areas, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 5 enemy attacks north of Pryiutne, south of Chervone, and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over 15 populated areas, including Charyvne, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepove, Lobkove, Piatyhatky, Stepnohirsk, and Pivdennohirsk in the Zaporizhzhia region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, enemy artillery shelling was recorded in Kherson, Mykolaivka, Tyahinka, Novotyahinka, Antonivka in the Kherson region, and Solonchaky in the Mykolaiv region.

The enemy also carried out shelling with multiple launch rocket systems in the areas of Ivanivka, Tokarivka, and Tomyna Balka in the Kherson region.

Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The enemy persists in its intention to dislodge our units from bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro.

Indeed, over the past day, the enemy attempted four unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian military positions.

It is worth noting that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion amounts to 380,600 military personnel.
