The Russian invaders made six assaults on the positions of the Defense Forces on the left bank of the Dnipro River, but they were unsuccessful, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult.
Over the last day, 72 combat engagements took place. In total, the enemy launched three missile strikes (with S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles at the civilian infrastructure of Novohradivka, Donetsk region) and four air strikes, and fired 25 MLRS at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.
Russian terrorist attacks resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Over 35 private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Situation at the frontline
The situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remained unchanged. No signs of formation of offensive groups were detected. Certain units of the Belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 attacks near Synkivka, Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy attacks near Terny and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region and another seven attacks in the areas of Serebryanske forestry and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repelled eight attacks near Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical situation.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled six enemy attacks near Avdiivka and 11 more attacks south of Severne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. Here, the occupants unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. The occupants tried unsuccessfully to improve the tactical situation here four times.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repelled an enemy attack west of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to regain the lost position.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Joint Forces Operation Center in the Kherson direction, the enemy shelled the regional center of the Kherson region and Dmytrivka, Ochakiv, Mykolaiv region.
Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive
The enemy does not abandon its intention to drive our units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
Thus, during the day, the enemy made six unsuccessful assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
Russian losses
During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck six areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one anti-aircraft missile system, one ammunition depot, and one enemy communication center.
Missile troops struck three areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, one control center, and one enemy electronic warfare station.
