Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 29

The defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, according to General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Over the past day, there have been 73 clashes. The enemy conducted 3 missile strikes and 13 airstrikes, along with 8 rocket artillery bombardments on positions of our forces and civilian areas.
Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential homes and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged and destroyed.
Additionally, the Russian Federation once again attacked Ukraine using a guided X-31 missile and 2 S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. Strikes were directed at civilian infrastructure.
The situation on the frontlines
The operational situation on the eastern and southern fronts of Ukraine remains difficult.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of the formation of advancing enemy groups. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the Ukrainian state border. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Znob-Trubchevska and Klyusy in the Sumy region, and Veterynarne, Vovchanske, Hatysche, and Mala Vovcha in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy launched unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Synkivka, northeast of Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. Defense forces repelled 6 attacks in this direction. Aerial strikes were conducted by occupiers near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kupiansk, and Kurylivka in the Kharkiv region. Around 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attacks by invaders in the areas of Serebrianske forestry in the Luhansk region, Torhove (east of Terniv), and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Serebrianka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Ivanivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Chasiv Yar, Bohdanivka, Ivanivka, Klishchiivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, with aviation support, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Stepove, Novokalynove, east of Novobakhmutivka, Avdiivka, south of Tonenke, and Severne, Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, where defense forces repelled 20 attacks. Around 15 populated areas, including Oleksandrivka, Berdychiv, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Maryinka direction, with aviation support, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions near Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Defense forces repelled 6 attacks in this area. Approximately 10 populated areas in the Donetsk region, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions south of Prechystivka in the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 2 attacks. The enemy carried out an aerial strike in the area of Novoukrainka in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Vodiane, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy attempted unsuccessfully 5 times to regain lost positions near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian defenders also repelled 5 enemy attacks west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 populated areas, including Levadne, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Kherson direction, artillery shelling by the enemy affected Kherson and Tiahynka in the Kherson region.
Enemy losses
During the day, the Defense Forces' aviation conducted 2 strikes on areas of personnel, armament, military equipment concentration, and another 2 strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
Missile forces units hit 3 command points, 2 ammunition depots, and a personnel concentration area.
