Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 27

Russian shelling

During the past 24 hours, there have been 79 military clashes. The enemy delivered 1 missile strike and 3 airstrikes, conducted 13 shelling attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of our troops and residential areas.

Due to Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are civilian casualties. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.

Situation on the frontlines

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains challenging.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation is without significant changes. No signs of the formation of offensive groups have been detected. Units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are identified performing tasks in the border areas with Ukraine.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine.

Approximately 15 populated areas, including Popivka in the Chernihiv region; Volodymyrivka, Veselivka, Stepok in Sumy region; Staritsia, Tykhe, Stroyivka in the Kharkiv region, experienced artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault operations in the areas of Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, where Defense Forces repelled 3 attacks. An airstrike was delivered in the vicinity of the settlement of Stepova Novoselivka in Kharkiv region. Around 10 populated areas, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Kotliarivka, Tabaivka, Krokhnalne in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Stelmakhivka, Serebrianske forestry in the Luhansk region, and Terniv, Yampolivka, Torskoho in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian forces repelled 12 attacks in these areas. Over 10 populated areas suffered from enemy artillery and mortar shelling, including Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Dibrova, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Pereizne in the Donetsk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 26 enemy attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Markove, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault actions east of Novobakhmutivka, northeast of Berdychiv, Avdiivka, Opytne, Severne, and south of Tonenke in Donetsk region, where Defense Forces repelled 21 attacks. Around 15 populated areas, including Keramik, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Tonenke, Severne, Pervomaiske in Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Maryinka direction, the enemy, with air support, conducted unsuccessful assault actions in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian forces repelled 9 attacks. Approximately 10 populated areas in the Donetsk region, including Krasnohorivka, Kurakhivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Niva, Urozhainoe in Donetsk region, were shelled with artillery and mortars.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted twice to regain lost positions near Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy shelled the city of Kherson with artillery.

Ukrainian counterofffensive

The defense forces continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region and continue to inflict fire damage on the occupiers.

Enemy losses

Rocket troops units inflicted damage to the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment of the enemy.

Units of the missile forces struck 11 areas of enemy personnel, armament, and military equipment concentrations, targeting a command post, an air defense system, 4 artillery units, and an ammunition depot.
