Russia strikes Kyiv with drones: Consequences revealed

After a Russian nighttime drone strike on Kyiv, rescuers were working at the sites of the damage. Warehouses were burning in the capital, outbuildings were destroyed, and there were victims, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Rescuers were engaged in eliminating the consequences of Russian strikes on Darnytskyi and Holosiivskyi districts of Kyiv.
Darnytskyi district
Here, private houses and cars were damaged by the Russian drone attack, and one of the outbuildings was destroyed.
"Two women sought medical assistance: one of them had an acute stress reaction, the other had multiple minor injuries to her right forearm. The victims were treated on the spot, without hospitalization," the SES reported.
Holosiivskyi district
According to the emergency service, a warehouse caught fire here as a result of a Russian air attack.
Fires extinguished, aftermath revealed
"All fires caused by the attack have been extinguished. More than 50 rescuers and 13 units of special equipment were involved in extinguishing and eliminating the consequences," the SESU said.

In addition, amid the Russian drone attack, explosions occurred in Mykolaiv - two fires broke out in the city, and there were victims.
Russian drone strike on Kyiv
On April 9, late in the evening, an air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, due to the threat of a Russian Shahed attack. Several groups of Russian attack drones were launched from different directions.
Near midnight, explosions were heard in Kyiv, and it became known that air defense systems were activated due to a Russian drone strike.
City officials said that a fire and building destruction were reported in 2 districts in Kyiv, and that one person was reportedly trapped.
