Russia strikes Kyiv region with drones: Consequences reported
On the night of January 8, during the drone attack on Kyiv region, the air alert lasted about 7 hours. The falling wreckage of the downed target caused minor damage, according to the Kyiv regional police.
According to Mykola Kalashnyk, the interim head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ukraine's air defense was operating in the region during the nighttime Russian drone attack.
There were no casualties among the population or hits to critical or residential infrastructure.
“As a result of the fall of the wreckage of the downed Russian drones, a private house and a fence were damaged in one of the settlements. The damage is minor. The building's facade and doors were cut and the windows were smashed,” he added.

On the evening of January 7, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine recorded the launch of drones by the Russian occupiers, which resulted in an air alert in a number of regions.
After midnight, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration warned of drones in the region's skies and air defense operations.
