Russia strikes Kharkiv: Zelenskyy outlines what can stop Putin

On the evening of May 2, Russian forces launched another drone attack on Ukraine, including Kharkiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that only force and sanctions can stop Russia, according to his post.
"Right now, Russia is attacking Ukraine again. Kharkiv has been targeted by dozens of Shahed drones. Residential buildings, businesses, and civilian infrastructure have been damaged. Over 40 people are reported injured at this moment. Rescue teams and relevant services are working everywhere," the message reads.
Zelenskyy emphasized that there were no military targets involved, nor could there have been. He also pointed out that Ukraine needs stronger air defense systems, and that only force and sanctions will make Russia stop.
"Russia targets residential areas when Ukrainians are at home, putting their children to bed. Only inhuman beings can give such orders and carry them out. While the world hesitates with its decisions, almost every night in Ukraine turns into a nightmare, causing the loss of lives. Ukraine needs enhanced air defense. Strong and real decisions from our partners - the United States, Europe, and all our peace-seeking partners are required. Only strength and sanctions will force Russia to stop," the president concluded.
