Yesterday, on February 5, Russians attacked one of the largest markets in Kharkiv with drones, causing serious damage to the pavilions, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office says.

After 11:30 p.m. Kyiv time, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported a Russian strike on the Kharkiv market, not far from the transport infrastructure. In particular, he said that the attack had caused a fire in the trade pavilions, but that there were no casualties.

According to Dmytro Chubenko, a spokesperson for the Kharkiv regional prosecutor's office, the Russian terrorists attacked the market with a Geran-2 drone.

“The most significant damage was done in the Kyivskyi district, where a Russian drone hit the roof of the largest market in Kharkiv. The explosion damaged dozens of trade pavilions. No one was injured at the scene,” he said.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has regularly struck Ukraine, using missiles, drones, artillery, and more. In particular, Russia often hits civilian infrastructure, which poses an additional threat to people.

On the night of February 6, Russian terrorists struck Ukraine with 77 Shahed drones and various types of imitation drones. Ukrainian air defense destroyed 56 of them.
