Russia signals more strikes after drone hits train near Polish border

Russian troops are "carrying out missions" throughout Ukraine and intend to continue launching strikes, says Vladimir Putin's spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, according to TASS.
Putin's spokesperson commented on a report by the Polish railway operator about a drone strike on a locomotive near the Polish-Ukrainian border.
"If I understand correctly, we are talking about the territory of Ukraine. Our military is carrying out its missions throughout the territory of Ukraine," he said.
According to Peskov, Russian troops will continue attacks and "carrying out missions" throughout Ukrainian territory.
The spokesperson also ignored direct accusations against the aggressor country from Ukraine and the European Union regarding the incident.
On September 13, Russian troops struck a gas station and a passenger train at the Yahodyn station in the Volyn region, near the Ukrainian-Polish border.
One of the Russian drones hit the locomotive of a train traveling from Kyiv to Warsaw.
Amid Russian attacks on Ukraine, the Polish military also recorded aviation activity. Residents of the Lublin and Podkarpackie voivodeships were warned of the danger.
The incident sparked a strong reaction from Warsaw. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened an emergency meeting and said that Russia could quickly invade the country's territory.
