On the night of October 2, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with strike drones from four directions. Air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the enemy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

That night, the Russians launched an attack using 108 Shahed-type strike drones (47 of which were jet-powered), Gerbera drones, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of the Donetsk region, and the TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Hvardiiske.

According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m. (Kyiv time), air defense forces shot down or neutralized 88 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, and other types.

Enemy airstrikes were recorded at 11 locations, and debris from downed drones was found at 5 locations.

The attack is ongoing, with several enemy drones in the airspace.

A 25-story residential building was damaged in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv as a result of a Russian attack on the night of October 2. One person was killed, and two others were wounded.

That same night, the Russians struck the South Bridge in Kyiv again, having previously attacked it twice on October 1.

In the Holosiivskyi district, debris fell onto an open area, damaging the windows of a non-residential building and several cars. There were no fires or casualties.
