Russia's losses in Ukraine as of October 7: +1,160 troops and 14 tanks
Over the past day, October 6, Ukrainian defense forces eliminated 1,160 Russian occupiers. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has lost over 661,000 military personnel, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total Russia's combat losses from February 24, 2022, to October 7, 2024, are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: approximately 661,630 (+1,160) individuals;
- Tanks: 8,933 (+14);
- Troop-carrying AFVs: 17,710 (+31);
- Artillery systems: 19,156 (+64);
- MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,223 (+7);
- Anti-aircraft systems: 972 (+2);
- Aircraft: 368 (+0);
- Helicopters: 328 (+0);
- UAVs operational-tactical level: 16,643 (+65);
- Cruise missiles: 2,615 (+2);
- Warships/boats: 28 (+0);
- Submarines: 1 (+0);
- Vehicles and fuel tanks: 26,102 (+96);
- Special equipment: 3,364 (+1).
Frontline situation
According to the General Staff, there were 141 combat engagements along the front line in the past day. Russian occupiers were most active in advancing in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions. In the Pokrovsk direction, 21 enemy attacks were repelled, while 18 were stopped in the Kurakhove direction.
