Frontline situation
Since May 10, Russian forces have been attempting to break through the Ukrainian defense in the northern part of the Kharkiv region. This is a renewed offensive in this direction, with part of the Kharkiv region having been liberated by Ukrainian forces in the fall of 2022.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, emphasized that Russian troops are bogged down in street battles for Vovchansk, with enemy assault groups suffering significant losses.
Additionally, the occupiers are advancing in the Avdiivka area and attempting to capture Chasiv Yar. These directions are witnessing the heaviest fighting.
