Over the past day, from May 10 to 11, Russia’s army lost 1,310 soldiers and one air defense system in the war against Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to May 11, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 965,890 (+1,310) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,792 (+2);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,446 (+6);
  • artillery systems - 27,670 (+33);
  • MLRS - 1,381 (+1);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,159 (+1);
  • aircraft - 372;
  • helicopters - 335 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 35,537 (+55);
  • cruise missiles - 3,197;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 47,947 (+117);
  • special equipment - 3,878 (+3).

Drone strike overnight

At midnight on May 11, the ceasefire declared by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on May 8 came to an end.

During the night, the aggressor launched strike drones against Ukraine from several directions simultaneously.

Around 6:00 a.m., explosions were heard in Kyiv as air defense forces responded to Shahed drones.

On the front line, Ukrainian defense forces advanced in Russia’s Kursk region, while Russian troops made gains in Donetsk region.
