Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated over 1000 Russian invaders in the past day. The total losses of the enemy army in personnel since the beginning of the large-scale invasion have reached approximately 419,020 soldiers. Additionally, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 49 pieces of Russian automotive equipment and 48 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to March 5, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: around 419,020 (+1070) individuals eliminated;
  • Tanks: 6657 (+9) units;
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 12,688 (+28) units;
  • Artillery systems: 10,258 (+48) units;
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1007 (+3) units;
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 700 (+2) units;
  • Aircraft: 347 units;
  • Helicopters: 325 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 7863 (+18) units;
  • Cruise missiles: 1917 (+1) units;
  • Warships/boats: 25 units;
  • Submarines: 1 unit;
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 13,423 (+49) units;
  • Special equipment: 1630 (+9) units.

Frontline situation

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 74 combat clashes on the Ukrainian frontlines throughout the past day.

Russian occupiers continue to press on the Avdiivka direction and have significantly intensified their activities on the Novopavlivka direction. The Defense Forces continue to hold positions and repel assaults by the occupying forces on the Kherson direction.
