Russia's losses in Ukraine as of March 1: + 870 troops and 58 artillery systems

Ukraine's forces continue to inflict heavy losses on Russian troops and hardware along the entire front line. In the last 24 hours alone, Russia lost another 870 personnel killed or injured, Ukraine's General Staff reported.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to March 1, 2026, are estimated to be:
- Personnel — approximately 1,266,770 (+870);
- Tanks — 11,709 (+2);
- Armored combat vehicles — 24,108 (+6);
- Artillery systems — 37,721 (+58);
- Multiple-launch rocket systems — 1,662 (+1);
- Air defense systems — 1,308 (+3);
- Aircraft — 435;
- Helicopters — 348;
- Operational-tactical UAVs — 151,359 (+1,722);
- Cruise missiles — 4,384;
- Ships/boats —29;
- Submarines — 2;
- Automotive equipment and fuel trucks — 80,510 (+181);
- Special equipment — 4,075.

Frontline situation
On the night of February 28, Ukrainian forces carried out a series of precise strikes on the rear positions of Russian troops in the captured territories and in the Belgorod region. An advanced divisional command post, numerous ammunition and fuel depots, as well as troop concentrations, were hit.
