Russia's losses in Ukraine as of July 26: +1,440 troops and 1,450 drones

Russian forces sustained further losses in personnel and military hardware over the past 24 hours. Ukraine's military released its latest daily estimate of Moscow's battlefield casualties and destroyed equipment.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to July 26, 2026, are estimated to be:

Frontline situation
On July 22, Ukrainian forces repelled one of Russia's largest assaults in the Donetsk region. The four-hour attack involved troops from three Russian formations and dozens of armored and military vehicles. Ukrainian forces, including the Azov Corps, stopped the advancing columns using minefields, explosive barriers, drones and tactical aircraft, which also destroyed pontoon bridges used by Russian troops. The assault ended with heavy Russian losses.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces carried out a new wave of strikes against key Russian military and strategic targets in Russia and occupied territories on July 24 and overnight into July 25, according to Ukraine's General Staff and Security Service. The attacks targeted Russian command posts, ammunition depots, drone facilities, air defense and radar systems, including an S-400 radar, as well as an offshore oil platform and vessels allegedly used to transport military cargo between Iran and Russia. The strikes were aimed at weakening Russia's military and economic capabilities.
