Russia’s losses in Ukraine as of July 16: +1,110 troops and 45 drones

Over the past day, from July 15 to July 16, Russia lost 1,110 soldiers and 45 unmanned aerial vehicles in the war in Ukraine, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total Russian combat losses from 24.02.22 to 16.07.24 are estimated as follows:
- personnel - about 561,400 (+1110) people were killed;
- tanks - 8227 (+13) units;
- APV (armored personnel vehicles) - 15,862 (+36) units;
- artillery systems - 15,368 (+44) units;
- MLRS (multiple launch rocket systems) - 1119 units;
- anti aircraft warfare systems - 892 units;
- aircraft - 361 units;
- helicopters - 326 units;
- UAVs operational and tactical level - 12,193 (+45) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,398 units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- vehicles and fuel tankers - 20,680 (+57) units;
- special equipment - 2577 (+8) units.
The Defense Forces have regained their lost positions near Toretsk.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation in the Pokrovsk sector is the most difficult.
On the night of July 16, the Russians attacked a number of regions of Ukraine with Shahed-type attack drones.
