From January 27 to 28, the Russian army lost 1,380 soldiers, 5 tanks, and 86 units of automotive equipment on the front lines, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to January 28, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 833,000 (+1,380) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 9,876 (+5);
  • armored personnel vehicles - 20,573 (+12);
  • artillery systems - 22,366 (+27);
  • MLRS - 1,263;
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,050;
  • aircraft - 369;
  • helicopters - 331;
  • UAVs operational-tactical level - 23,399 (+72);
  • cruise missiles - 3,053;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 35,269 (+86);
  • special equipment - 3,718 (+2).

Situation on frontline and Russian arone attack

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian troops advanced in three directions in the Donetsk region, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces recaptured lost positions near Toretsk.

Last night, Russians launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine using Shahed kamikaze drones.

Due to the hits and falling debris, houses and enterprises were damaged in Kharkiv and the region.

Enemy UAVs also damaged houses and caused fires in Odesa.
