In the last 24 hours, from January 23 to 24, the Russian army lost 1,500 soldiers, a multiple-launch rocket system, and 87 units of automotive equipment at the front, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to January 24, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 826,820 (+1,500) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 9,852 (+2);
  • armored personnel vehicles - 20,508 (+11);
  • artillery systems - 22,295 (+39);
  • MLRS - 1,263 (+1);
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,050;
  • aircraft - 369;
  • helicopters - 331;
  • UAVs operational-tactical level - 23,162 (+51);
  • cruise missiles - 3,051;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 34,992 (+87);
  • special equipment - 3,715 (+1).

Situation at front and Russian shelling

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian invaders have achieved success in several areas of the Donetsk region and in the Kursk region.

Over the past night, the Russian aggressor attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones.

In two settlements in the Kyiv region, private and multi-story residential buildings were damaged as a result of drone strikes. There are killed and injured victims.
