From January 31 to February 1, Russian forces lost 1,430 soldiers, 121 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 77 vehicles on the front line of the war against Ukraine, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to February 1, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 839,040 (+1,430) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 9,902 (+9) units;
  • armored personnel vehicle - 20,653 (+22) units;
  • artillery systems - 22,493 (+48) units;
  • MLRS - 1,266 (+1) units;
  • anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,050 units;
  • aircraft - 369 units;
  • helicopters - 331 units;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 23,694 (+121) units;
  • cruise missiles - 3,054 units;
  • warships/boats - 28 units;
  • submarines - 1 unit;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 35,626 (+77) units;
  • special equipment - 3,727 (+1) units.

Situation on the front line and Russian missile attack

According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian forces have advanced in five directions in the Kharkiv and Donetsk regions.

At 5:33 a.m., an air raid alert was declared in multiple regions due to the threat of ballistic missile strikes.

By around 7:00 a.m., the alert was extended across the entire territory of Ukraine as Russian forces launched a large-scale missile attack on the country.
