Russia's losses in Ukraine as of December 21: +1,860 troops, 10 tanks and 32 artillery systems

Over the past day, from December 20 to 21, Russia lost 1,860 soldiers on the front line. Additionally, Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 10 tanks, 32 artillery systems, and 98 vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to December 21, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 772,280 (+1,860) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 9,594 (+10) units;
- armored personnel vehicle - 19,841 (+18) units;
- artillery systems - 21,252 (+32) units;
- MLRS - 1,256 units;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 1,027 units;
- aircraft - 369 units;
- helicopters - 329 units;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 20,685 (+85) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,947 (+4) units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 31,891 (+98) units;
- special equipment - 3,662 (+6) units.
As of the evening of December 20, 191 battles were recorded on the front line since the start of the day.
Of these, 50 took place in the Kursk region. According to the General Staff, the enemy also launched intensive attacks on the Pokrovsk direction that day.
