Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 1: +33 artillery systems, 115 drones and 1,370 occupants

Russian forces lost 1,370 soldiers and 42 armored combat vehicles in Ukraine over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The total Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to August 1, 2024, are estimated as follows:
- Personnel: approximately 579,490 (+1,370) killed
- Tanks: 8,399 (+9) units
- APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 16,203 (+42) units
- Artillery systems: 16,119 (+33) units
- MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,132 (+1) units
- Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 907 units
- Aircraft: 363 units
- Helicopters: 326 units
- UAVs operational-tactical level: 12,968 (+115) units
- Cruise missiles: 2,407 units
- Warships/boats: 28 units
- Submarines: 1 unit
- Vehicles and fuel tankers: 21,816 (+77) units
- Special equipment: 2,713 (+16) units
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports that Russian forces are actively advancing on several fronts in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Last night, the aggressor again attacked Ukraine with drones. Air raid alerts were issued multiple times in Kyiv and several regions.
Explosions were also heard in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.
