Russian losses in the war in Ukraine as of Friday morning, April 19, stood at 870 occupiers, with the total number of losses suffered by the Russian army since the start of invasion reaching 457,830 military personnel. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed two enemy anti-aircraft missile systems and three missiles, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to April 19, 2024, are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: approximately 457,830 (+870) individuals.
  • Tanks: 7,205 (+9) units.
  • APV (Armored personnel vehicles): 13,852 (+17) units.
  • Artillery systems: 11,658 (+21) units.
  • MLRS (Multiple launch rocket systems): 1,046 units.
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 762 (+2) units.
  • Aircraft: 347 units.
  • Helicopters: 325 units.
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 9,311 (+27) units.
  • Cruise missiles: 2,096 (+3) units.
  • Warships/boats: 26 units.
  • Submarines: 1 unit.
  • Vehicles and fuel tankers: 15,671 (+53) units.
  • Special equipment: 1,915 units.

Frontline situation

There were 86 combat engagements on the frontlines in Ukraine during the past day. The Russians actively assault the positions of the Defense Forces on three fronts in Donetsk.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, positional battles continue on most fronts in Ukraine. There are reports of Russian invaders advancing northwest of Avdiivka, while Ukrainian defenders have reclaimed certain positions in the area of the village of Berdychi.
