Last week, a proposal for an unconditional ceasefire was already made. However, Russia is the only one prolonging the war. Therefore, it is now necessary to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin, informs Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Now, after the recent meeting in Saudi Arabia, in Jeddah, it is absolutely clear to everyone in the world that Russia is the only one prolonging this war. Russia is the only one that brought it here and is the only one that needs to continue it. Since March 11, there has been a proposal for an unconditional ceasefire, and such strikes should have stopped by now. But it is Russia that continues all of this," the president said.

Zelenskyy noted that Russia conducts extremely cynical strikes every night and every day. Without pressure, Moscow will continue to disregard diplomacy and destroy lives.

"No matter what we are discussing with our partners right now, we need to pressure Putin into issuing a real order to stop the strikes. The one who brought this war should be the one to take it away," Zelenskyy concluded.

Notably, in the same address, Zelenskyy mentioned that a meeting between Ukrainian and US delegations is currently taking place in Saudi Arabia. This time, the negotiations are more technical.

"Today marks the second meeting of the Ukrainian and American teams in Saudi Arabia. This time, the discussions are more technical — our military, our diplomats, and our representatives from the Ministry of Energy," Zelenskyy noted.
