Russia's actions after midnight will reveal its stance on peace - Ukraine's Foreign Minister

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Russia is ignoring Ukraine's call to extend the Easter ceasefire announced by Putin yesterday. He added that Russia's actions after midnight will reveal Moscow's true stance on the peace proposal.
"Russia's actions after midnight tomorrow, and throughout the week, will reveal Russia’s true attitude toward US peace efforts and the 30-day full ceasefire proposal. They will show whether Russia is serious about peace or Putin's statements from yesterday were simply manipulation," the message said.
Sybiha added that Ukraine still has not received a response from Moscow regarding the proposal to extend the ceasefire for 30 days.
"The main issue is that yesterday, Ukraine proposed to extend the ceasefire beyond midnight. We are prepared for a 30-day full ceasefire if Russia reciprocates. We have yet to hear any response from Moscow," wrote the Foreign Minister.
He also noted that despite a reduction in combat activity on the front lines, Russian forces continue to attack Ukrainian positions. Ukraine is responding appropriately.
"Although there has been some reduction in combat activity yesterday and today, Russian forces have continued to attack Ukrainian positions. Ukraine is responding appropriately and responsibly, and we are reciprocating both fire where it occurs and the silence where it holds," Sybiha emphasized.
As a reminder, an hour ago, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin had not given the order to extend the Easter ceasefire.
