Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation has revealed Russia's plans to build up its agents of influence in the EU. This is part of a strategy to block key Ukrainian logistics routes, says Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation.

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has been tasked with increasing the number of agents of influence in Ukraine's neighboring countries.

According to Kovalenko, the goal of this campaign is to increase political influence to block logistics for Ukraine.

In addition, the Kremlin is planning to actively interfere in the foreign policy of the EU and NATO countries.

According to Kovalenko, this is part of Russia's official state policy for the coming years.

Moscow also pays special attention to political processes in Moldova, where it plans to influence the internal situation by destabilizing it.

Russian spies

Last spring, the UK Ministry of Defense said it was concerned about the activities of Russian spies in the country.

According to the British media, last year, the British MI5 was ordered to focus on fighting spies from Russia, Iran, and China.

In addition, the agency says, an unspecified source said that London's support for Kyiv in Russia's war against Ukraine has led to increased spy activity.
