In Kharkiv, two people were injured in an enemy drone attack last night, January 28, which caused a large-scale fire in a factory. Among the victims is a child, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The emergency officials clarified the details of the Russian air attack and showed video and photos of the aftermath.

“Last night, Russia struck a civilian enterprise in the Novobavarskyi district of the city with a drone. As a result of the Russian attack, a large-scale fire broke out over an area of 1,500 square meters. Production facilities were burning,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine said in a statement.

The rescuers also informed that at 2:36 a.m. Kyiv time the fire had already been localized, and now its elimination is underway.

“Over 80 rescuers and 20 units of SESU equipment are involved in the aftermath,” the rescuers said.

The SESU also reported that, according to preliminary data, 2 people suffered from a Russian drone attack and had an acute stress reaction.

The rescuers said these were a woman born in 1955 and a child born in 2015.

Russian drone attack on Kharkiv

Last night, on January 28, explosions were heard in Kharkiv amid the threat of a Russian air attack using attack drones.

According to Mayor Ihor Terekhov, Russia struck Kharkiv and fire broke out. Later he clarified that the Russian strike hit the territory of a civilian enterprise in the Novobavarskyi district.

Bohdan Hladkykh, director of the Kharkiv Emergency Situations Department, told the media that there was information about 2 victims who had an acute stress reaction.
