Russian forces lost a column of equipment in the Kharkiv region recently. It consisted of 20 units, reports the 3rd Assault Brigade.

"On January 8 and 9, the occupiers advanced on the brigade's positions in an attempt to break through but lost 20 units of their equipment," the report said.

According to the military, part of the column was halted by anti-tank guided missile strikes, causing BMPs and tanks to veer off the road and hit mines.

"Remnants were attacked with FPV drones. A pontoon crossing was destroyed, sinking a tank. Enemy infantry was targeted with aerial bombs and artillery. Those who survived began retreating," the brigade added.

Second attempt at assault

Having lost dozens of units of equipment, the Russians attempted another assault, deploying armored groups from four directions simultaneously.

After being struck by Ukrainian fighters, more Russian armor was destroyed using ATGMs and drones.

Situation in the Kharkiv region

On January 10 alone, Russian forces launched 213 attacks along the front in Ukraine, a third of which were concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction.

In the Kharkiv region, they launched five assaults on Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Vovchansk and Starytsia on the Kharkiv axis.

On the Kupiansk axis, there were eight attacks during the day. Defense forces repelled assaults near Kucherivka, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Zahryzove, and Lozova.
