Russia loses 4% of oil refining capacity after major Moscow refinery attack

On September 20, Ukrainian Defense Forces "switched off" another Russian refinery - this time in Moscow, increasing the number of paralyzed oil refining capacities in Russia, according to Fire Point.
The Moscow Refinery has a capacity of about 12.15 million tons of oil per year. With its shutdown, about 4% more of Russia's oil refining capacities have been paralyzed.
The company recalled that the day before, it had summarized the attacks on Russian refineries since the beginning of September. At that time, it was reported that about 10% of Russia's oil refining capacities had been paralyzed.
Taking into account the Moscow Refinery, about 14% of Russia's oil refining capacities have been paralyzed in the first 20 days of September.
On the night of September 20, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported hitting the Moscow Refinery in the Kapotnya district.
A large-scale fire broke out at the facility, damaging the AVT-6 primary processing unit, the integrated oil processing unit, and the isomerization unit. The Security Service of Ukraine stated that long-range drones traveled over 500 km and penetrated a layered air defense system, and the plant is located approximately 15 km from the Kremlin.
