On the night of February 7, Russia used over a hundred drones against Ukraine. Air defense units operated in 13 regions of the country, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The enemy launched the targets from the following directions:

  • Kursk
  • Oryol
  • Millerovo
  • Bryansk
  • Shatalovo
  • "The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine," the message says.

As of 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, 81 Shahed strike drones and other types of UAVs were confirmed destroyed in the following regions:

  • Kharkiv
  • Poltava
  • Sumy
  • Kyiv
  • Cherkasy
  • Chernihiv
  • Kirovohrad
  • Zhytomyr
  • Khmelnytskyi
  • Zaporizhzhia
  • Dnipropetrovsk
  • Mykolaiv
  • Odesa

In addition, 31 enemy decoy drones were lost locally, with no negative consequences. However, due to the enemy attack, the Sumy, Kyiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions were affected.
