Russia launched more than 100 attack drones and five ballistic missiles at Ukraine overnight, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
During the night of October 13, starting at 6 p.m. on October 12, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with five Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from Russia’s Bryansk region. They also used nine loitering munitions known as Banderol and Dan-T.
In addition, Russia launched 108 attack drones, including Shahed drones — 74 of which were jet-powered — as well as Gerbera drones and Parodiya decoy drones. They came from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from occupied Donetsk and Hvardiiske in Crimea.
According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 88 Russian drones, including 58 jet-powered Shaheds, Gerbera drones, and drones of other types.
Hits by Russian aerial weapons were recorded at 17 locations. Debris from downed targets fell at seven other locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several Russian drones still in Ukrainian airspace.
On the morning of October 13, Russian forces also attempted to attack the Lviv region with drones.
Two houses were on fire in the village of Murovane, and three cars were damaged.
RBC-Ukraine also reported that Russian forces struck Dnipro with guided aerial bombs that same morning.
The strikes damaged a transport infrastructure facility, apartment buildings, and cars. A 64-year-old man was injured.
