Russian forces launched 193 attack drones at Ukraine overnight on November 2. Air defenses neutralized 154 targets, but strikes were recorded at 26 locations, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

The air attack began on the evening of November 1, at around 6 p.m. (Kyiv time). Russia deployed Shahed and Gerbera attack drones, as well as Parodiya-type decoy drones. Of the total number of UAVs launched, 75 were jet-powered Shaheds.

The drones flew from the Russian cities of Oryol, Kursk, and Bryansk, as well as from temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk region and Crimea.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces, were deployed to repel the attack.

According to preliminary data from the Air Force, as of 8 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 154 enemy drones. Among them were 58 jet-powered Shaheds. More than six other attack drones remained in the air, so combat operations were still underway at the time the report was published.

Despite air defenses, some strikes could not be prevented. According to the Air Force, the consequences of the air attack were recorded at 26 locations.

Debris from downed drones fell at nine locations.

Following Russia's overnight attack on November 2, emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Restrictions also came into effect in the Sumy, Poltava, and Zhytomyr regions.

More than 60,000 consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk region were left without electricity due to the aftermath of Russian attack.
