In 1,000 days of Russia's full-scale invasion, Kyiv experienced 1,369 air raid alerts, totaling over 1,553 hours. Russian forces launched more than 2,500 missiles and drones at the city, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported.

In particular, the Russian forces targeted Kyiv with:

  • over 1,600 kamikaze drones of various types;
  • nearly 800 cruise missiles (Kh-101, Iskander-K, Kh-69);
  • approximately 90 ballistic missiles (Iskander-M and KN-23);
  • almost 40 aeroballistic Kinzhal missiles;
  • and six Zircon hypersonic ship missiles.
  • In 2024 alone, Kyiv faced 1,250 Russian air attacks. One of the largest assaults included almost 80 missiles and drones fired at the city in a single night.

"Kyiv survived dozens of massive, combined airstrikes over the last 1,000 days. During the most intense attack, the Russian army launched nearly 80 missiles and UAVs at our city! Think about it – in the 21st century, the capital of a European state is being destroyed by thousands of missiles and drones," Serhiy Popko, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, stated.

Popko called on Ukrainians to remember who makes Kyiv invincible.

"Remember our defenders! Support the military and help them in any way you can. Only with a strong rear for the Armed Forces of Ukraine can we bring peace after Victory," the Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration emphasized.

Russian military losses

On November 18, the Russian army lost another 1,610 soldiers in its war against Ukraine. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian losses have exceeded 724,000 military personnel.
