Russia destroys university building in Zaporizhzhia with direct strike on cultural heritage site

Another Russian attack severely damaged one of the buildings of Zaporizhzhia National University. After the Russian attack, the building, which is a cultural heritage site, was engulfed in flames, according to the press service of Zaporizhzhia National University (ZNU).

Overnight, on September 21, Building No. 3 of Zaporizhzhia National University was directly hit.
This is a cultural heritage site.
"Within its walls, years of study, meetings, lectures, and significant moments of university life unfolded," the ZNU press service says.

Difficult restoration work lies ahead.
"But we believe that we will be able to bring it back to life," the educational institution stated.
Judging by the photos published on social media, a large-scale fire broke out in the ZNU building after the attack.
