Russia claims attack on Gelendzhik, home to one of Putin's residences
Russia reports an alleged attack on Gelendzhik (Krasnodar region, Russia), according to the Governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev. One of the residences of Kremlin head Vladimir Putin is located there.
According to the local governor, the drones "tried to attack" civilian objects in Gelendzhik.
"All UAVs were suppressed by air defense forces. In the village of Krinitsa, the wreckage of one of the drones damaged an unfinished building. In the village of Dzhankhot, a drone crashed into trees, and the fire was extinguished," Kondratyev said.
He also reported that there were no casualties.
Putin's residence in Gelendzhik
Russian President Vladimir Putin owns several residences located in different parts of Russia - Gelendzhik, Valdai, Novo-Ogaryovo, etc.
The residence in Gelendzhik consists of a large palace, a church, a wine cellar, a casino, an arboretum, and a hockey rink. The plot on a cliff overlooking the Black Sea is safely hidden from public view by a huge forest and a special area.
There is also a bunker, which Putin has a special love for. It is so big that Putin was nicknamed 'Bunker Man'.
